Suprascapular Nerve Block

Shoulder pain is very common affecting 15–30% of adults at any one time. Causes of shoulder pain include degenerative disease affecting joints and supporting soft tissue, and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. The suprascapular nerve supplies sensory fibers to about 70% of the shoulder joint. Suprascapular nerve block is a safe and effective treatment for the treatment of shoulder pain caused by arthritis or degenerative disease. Suprascapular nerve block improves pain, disability, and range of movement at the shoulder.
