Physical Therapy Staff
Michael J. Andaya, PT
Michael Andaya was awarded the degree Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Fatima College of Physical Therapy in 1995. He has worked in acute and sub-acute Physical Therapy settings and has experience in treating a variety of neurological, orthopaedic and medical-surgical conditions. Michael joined our physical therapy team in September of 2011.
Patricia Burgener, PT
Patricia Burgegraduated from Lynn University in 1994 with her Physical Therapy Assistant degree. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. For the past 22 years, her primary area of specialty has been outpatient Orthopaedics, however she has experience with pediatrics, aquatic therapy and rehabilitation as well as neurological conditions. She currently holds a professional certification affiliated with the McKenzie Institute as a certified practitioner in the mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine. Patti and her family have been residents of Vero Beach since 2013 which is when she joined the team at OCVB.
Sharon Hall, PT
Sharon Hall is a Florida licensed Physical Therapist who graduated from University of Texas South Western Medical Center at Dallas. Sharon has served the Physical Therapy profession for over 25 years in a variety of different settings. She began her career at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas where she gained extensive experience in orthopaedic, neurologic, and wound care. After relocating to Savannah, GA, Sharon broadened her experience base in the area of subacute rehab and home health Physical Therapy, eventually being promoted to Director of Physical Therapy. She continued working with the same company when transferred to Atlanta, GA. She remained with the company until relocating to her home state of Florida, settling with her family in Sebastian, FL. Since being in Sebastian, Sharon has continued practicing both in the hospital and outpatient settings. She was instrumental in helping build a thriving outpatient clinic in Sebastian, FL, treating an array of different diagnosis. Sharon is very excited about joining Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach as of October 2016. She enjoys treating a wide range of diagnosis, especially orthopaedic. She is passionate about her patients, and finds joy in helping them reach their maximal lifestyle potentials. She encourages the patient to participate in their goals and plan of care.
Paul Burgener, PT
Paul Burgener graduated from Angelo State University with his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He went on to earn his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 from the University of Central Florida. He began his career working in acute care and inpatient rehab for 2 years before transitioning to outpatient. He has worked in the outpatient rehab setting for the past 14 years treating a variety of conditions ranging from stroke, neurological disorders, and balance deficits but his primary focus has been in outpatient orthopaedics. He went on to earn a post-graduate manual certification from The McKenzie Institute (Cert MDT) with an emphasis in spine rehab. He relocated with his family to Vero Beach in 2013 and joined the Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach in July 2018.
Claire Petrulak, PT
Claire Petrulak, PT graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2005. She has worked outside of Boston for the past 14 years with experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports injuries, post-surgical, aquatic therapy, neurological impairments, back pain and adolescents. She is trained in both the Maitland and McKenzie treatment approaches. She relocated to her husband’s hometown of Vero Beach with their two young children and is excited to be a part of the OCVB family.
Rebbecca Kuchar, PTA
Rebbecca Kuchar graduated from IRCC in 2001 with a degree as a physical therapist assistant. She has worked in a variety of settings including skilled nursing, rehab, acute, trauma and outpatient. Rebbecca has been part of the OCVB team since 2012.
Victoria Chacon, PTA
Victoria graduated from Keiser University in 2018 with a degree as a physical therapist assistant. She has worked in a variety of settings such as skilled nursing, acute care, and outpatient. Victoria is very excited about joining the OCVB team.
